Hundreds of rural community members and the NT Police continue to search for missing 18-year-old Herbert man Seth Puckridge, who was last seen on Thursday night.

NT Police said yesterday they hold “serious concerns” for the safety of Mr Puckridge, a Humpty Doo Woolworths employee who was last seen on Thursday, March 31 at his home on Ridley Road at 9:30pm.

Police said he had left his phone, ID, wallet and keys behind before disappearing.

Bushland searches in the Herbert and Humpty Doo area have been ongoing since Friday morning, with more than 200 community volunteers, organisers said, joining the search on Sunday for the man one local described as not having any bush survival skills.

He was described by family members, who are devastated by his disappearance, as “a kind and generous boy”.

NT Police said on Monday that they had taken “several statements” and had conducted several property searches without success.

Rural area residents with knowledge of the area have also joined the search on foot and on quad bikes, using the Humpty Doo Golf Club as a base of operations.

“Police received reports of several possible sightings of Mr Puckridge, but he has not yet been located,” said Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Paul Morrissey.

“His disappearance is unexpected and police hold serious concerns for his welfare.”

No signs of Mr Puckridge have been discovered after the massive search effort.

“We are aware of the high level of community concern for Mr Puckridge,” Sgt Morrissey said.

“We encourage residents to search the grounds of their properties and report anything unusual.”

Anyone with knowledge of Seth Puckridge’s whereabouts is urged to contact police on 131 444, quoting reference number 9967289.
