Roughly 47,500 people attended the three-day Darwin Show weekend that kept police busy tipping out 72 litres of booze, returning four missing children at the showgrounds and arresting a 19-year-old female for allegedly throwing a can at an officer during a massive brawl on Friday night.

Police said they were called to a “disturbance” at the showgrounds on Friday night around 9:45pm after “groups of people [were] fighting and throwing small items”.
