As I remember it, the main reason the lease was sold to Landbridge was that nobody else was prepared to put in the necessary investment to develop the port. Neither government nor private businesses. Has anything really changed? I think after the election this idea will be referred to a committee and never be seen again – well not till the next election.
More electoral BS until after the election when it will disappear into oblivion as many promises do.
Lazy reporters of course as usual, there were four members on the Committee that recommended the sale, a minister whose name I can’t remember, Gunner Lia and Gerry Wood, not one interview by our lefty media, these people would normally talk underwater with a mouthful of marbles.
