Former Labor minister Matthew Bonson has been appointed chief executive officer of the controversial Anindilyakwa Land Council, which is currently under investigation by the National Anti-Crime Commission, the organisation has announced.
ALC chair Cherelle Wurrawilya said in a statement that the land council board had worked hard to recruit a new CEO, ensuring the right person was selected to lead the ALC, with Mr Bonson due to start on April 29.
