Wangi Falls in Litchfield was immediately closed Monday after a saltwater crocodile attacked a swimmer at the popular swimming hole causing serious injuries to his arm.

Sources with knowledge of the incident told the NT Independent that a person was attacked by a crocodile at the falls on Monday morning and that up to a dozen people were potentially trapped on the waterfall side of the swimming hole.
