“We have listened carefully to people on all sides”. Actually means ? Just so one can understand. Can we see how fine the balance actually is? Are we talking about generalisation or, a very clear numerical account for or against? DISCRIMINATION undermines, excludes. Changes to current Anti-discrimination Act would certainly requires careful consideration prior to . . . it’s all good?
This whole thing is a very complex set of issues, and there will always be different opinions, often passionately held. I can’t see that more consultation would end up satisfying anyone, or changing much.
How does this affect me day to day?
It doesnt!
I get called the most beautifull names when walking into Woolies CBD and consider it Darwin Background Noise.
Am more concerned about:
-Labours $15 Billion Debt which the CLP will convert to $17 Billion debt
-The link between the most public servants per head of population in Australia and The non stop blowouts of all large NTG projects with the Paspaley ship lift being one of the largest blunders in Australias history (in terms of % over blown and per capita )!in sum, we have heaps of public servants who cant manage government projects!
-The marketing that crime is down! I know ex data reporters who where leaned on to get the crime numbers down by a particular ex Police Chief! Did the cohort who are responsible for most of the crime, repent?
