The Finocchiaro CLP Government has announced a “Circuit Breaker Program” for Alice Springs in the wake of a surge of violent crimes in the troubled town that it says will address the “root causes” of crime, but the program as described is exactly what Labor announced in April that it called the “co-responder model”, that aimed to have youths taken off the streets at night by Territory Families.
The CLP pitched the “new” program on Friday as part of its “comprehensive and consistent response to crime in the Red Centre”, stating it was being “trialled” until June 30 of next year.

Social Mayhem and out of control crime in the NT
In 1976, the Department of Education commissioned a study, undertaken over two years, by Mitsuro Shimpo, a visiting overseas scholar. During his research, Dr Shimpo visited almosr every remote community in the NT, some of them twice. His report, ‘A Social Process In Education,’ predicted what the future might hold if communities AND PARTICULARLY PARENTS did not take responsibility for the upbringing of their children. They didn’t – and now we have the social mayhem confronting the NT.

Can anyone explain to me why the ‘special’ response directive/initiative could not have been given over the phone?
Labor paryt. Form a committe, form a sub committee to look at the committe, if no answer form another sub committee.
CLP form a task force, form a circuit breaker to look after the task force, if no answer go home and maybe think about some more.
