Curious about who leaked this to the media whilst Fancy Chancey was doing his best to stop himself from sinking? Not the police minister I hope. I know it wasn’t from investigative journalism because it wasn’t in the Independent.
The new Police Minister has been very vocal in the media on this topic. This morning on radio he was calling for Burgoyne to step aside if he was charged and surprise surprise the police later charged him. His naivety in speaking publicly on this issue cannot be dismissed simply as his inexperience as a Minister. He is doing his utmost to get political mileage out of the issue but seemingly unaware, disinterested or plain dumb in understanding that at this stage in proceedings he has a conflict of Interest in being so vocal and condemning Burgoyne by virtue of his position as Police Minister who clearly has access to confidential information either directly or indirectly through his staff. At the very least he should shut up. I am surprised the Police Commissioner hasn’t picked up the phone and given Potter some on the job counselling along the lines of ” button up and let us do our job”. Potter has questions to answer himself of his role in this.
The accident was in August last year????? 7 Months later during a Election period it magically shows its head, really??? “Something is rotten in the state of Denmark”
how is it senior Public servants can manipulate the system so there court appearances occur late December when all the journos and most of the public are away?
So an incident that happened months ago suddenly leads to a police charge just at the time Little Chancey is trying to save his worthless arse, got to be political interference for sure, can’t wait for the Independent to do a story on Potters driving record.
