Deputy Chief Minister Chansey Paech’s big spending on travel continued in the past financial year, racking up nearly a third of all ministerial travel across the NT himself, records show, including claiming “offical allowance” expenses under “other” costs, which has raised further questions about how the government is acquitting ministerial travel.

Ministerial travel records show taxpayers paid $111,000 for Mr Paech to fly throughout the Territory for the first nine months of the last financial year – July 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024 – which was nearly a third of the $367,000 expended on travel for all ministers to attend events and meetings in remote communities.

  2. The pigs certainly have their snouts in a bloody deep trough

    • The arrogance and sense of entitlement of this man is breathtaking. Buying investment properties in Alice while many sell at the bottom of the market bought about by the chaotic mess he and his cronies created.

  3. I only hope that his voters see that Minister Paech is really just a self interested person in a position to bully others who do not share his ideological views. When Minister Paech talks about ‘his people’ he is really talking about young, rich, like-minded men.
