BASSINTHEGRASS postponed until 2021

BASSINTHEGRASS Music Festival party-goers will have to hang on until May 15 next year, as the Territory’s biggest music festival has been postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

BASSINTHEGRASS was scheduled for October 31, but the NT Government has announced the festival will have to be pushed back due to the rising COVID-19 cases in Victoria and New South Wales.

“The Territory Government has tough border controls in place to restrict travel from those hot spot areas,” it said in a statement. “This means it won’t be possible to deliver People’s Choice BASSINTHEGRASS to the world-class standard music fans expect in 2020.”

The BASSINTHEGRASS management has meanwhile revealed that some of Australia’s best live acts will be at the festival in 2021.

“We are devastated to announce BASSINTHEGRASS is on hold until 2021 – but stoked to reveal Hayden James, Missy Higgins, Peking Duk and Violent Soho have already confirmed their attendance at next year’s event, which will take place on 15 May!” BASSINTHEGRASS said in statement.

“We can’t do this in 2020, but we are already planning how to make next year’s BASSINTHEGRASS more memorable than ever, so hang on to your ticket to guarantee your spot (remember, tickets usually sell out!).”

Pre-purchased tickets for the 2020 event will be valid for People’s Choice BASSINTHEGRASS 2021.

Those unable to attend next year can receive refunds through moshtix.com.au or call 1300 GET TIX (438 849).

BASSINTHEGRASS, established in 2003, is the Northern Territory’s longest running annual music festival. It’s a licensed, all-ages event, and supported by the Northern Territory Government.
