The 2026 Bassinthegrass festival has announced its line-up of more than 20 acts spanning a variety of genres including pop, R&B, indie, rock, electronic, and dance, showcasing the diversity of Australian music at its 23rd edition, which will be held May 16 at Mindil Beach.
The NT’s biggest music festival’s line-up for next year includes Anna Lunoe, B2B Nina Las Vegas, Ball Park Music, Mallrat, Peking Duk, The Teskey Brothers, G Flip, In Hearts Wake, JessB, Maple’s Pet Dinosaur, Venjent, Kita Alexander, and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers.
More artists will be announced ahead of the May show.
Set against the backdrop of Mindil Beach, the iconic music event attracts thousands of fans from all over the country, offering world-class performances in Darwin.
“BASSINTHEGRASS showcases Darwin at its very best. The line-up we have for the 2026 festival rivals any music festival in the country,” Tourism and Events NT CEO Suzana Bishop said.
“It’s a cherished and favourite event amongst locals, and it is a major drawcard for visitors.”
Bassinthegrass also highlights local talent while featuring some of Australia’s most celebrated artists, and affirming its status as a key event on the national music scene.
Maple’s Pet Dinosaur lead singer Maple said, “I’ve always wanted to go to Darwin, and now I’ve got the best reason ever. The band and I are so pumped to play BASSINTHEGRASS amongst a stacked line-up. We can’t wait to play and then hang out and watch all the other bands in that amazing BASSINTHEGRASS atmosphere we’ve heard so much about.”
Minister for Major Events, Tourism, and Hospitality Marie-Clare Boothby said that the festival has become an essential experience for music enthusiasts across the country.
“With new flight routes connecting Darwin to more destinations than ever, there’s never been a better time to make BASSINTHEGRASS part of your travel plans,” Ms Boothby said.
