Stolen car police pursuit, robbery at cafe leads to employee hospitalised ahead of Katherine Show weekend

The Coffee Club in Katherine was ransacked overnight by a group of offenders in a stolen Toyota Hilux from the showgrounds, NT Police said, but police media did not report that the intruders reportedly returned to the cafe around 7:15am this morning, where they allegedly attacked staff, the owner and customers, with one staff member reportedly sent to hospital.

The CLP Government has committed to “fast-tracking” the majority of recommendations from the Approvals Fast Track Taskforce report to cut red tape and boost the economy, including extending food business registrations to three years, exempting “low-risk” electrical works from needing a certificate of compliance and extending responsible service of alcohol certificates from three to five years.
