  1. MAYBE the government should look at DCDD and see how many projects they have either not completed, been way over budget, had contracts done that were fit for purpose or just did not work. A short list would be the Asset Information System (AIS)—often part of the broader Asset Management System (AMS) and SerPro police system.

    • Ed, they blew their budgets and SerPro is still a work in progress. AMS blew out to $70 million with no end in site!
I remember bumping into the AMS staff at the airport, they where bragging about jobs for life as the project would never end! That is until Treasurer Dave Tolner killed it off.
Acacia , the NTCAT Court system, SerPro, AMS, and several other systems that the have not hit the media have been failures in that they blew their budgets and took way longer than promised.
Question: With all these systems running successfully overseas and interstate,,,,,whats the common denominator……?

  2. More dead wood gone. NT Government has a very capable integration team in Agency Business Systems they don’t need project resources to do this work. Good move. Now if they could just deal with the leadership team who allowed this debacle and still profit from it (albeit with different job titles) perhaps they could move on.
