NT Police have announced the sudden retirement of Assistant Commissioner Bruce Porter, which sources say relates to a disagreement with Police Commissioner Michael Murphy over how police are dealing with allegations a senior detective perverted the course of justice in connection to the Zach Rolfe murder investigation.
Mr Porter’s retirement follows last week’s announcement that NT Police Deputy Commissioner – and former commissioner Jamie Chalker’s right-hand man – Murray Smalpage would retire from the role this month after a tumultuous three-year term.
Murphy is only just better than the last flog who held the job.
They all should be up on charges along with the grub gunner.
