EXCLUSIVE: Crisis meetings between Territory Families and NT Police were held over the weekend to discuss removing ankle monitoring devices from young offenders across the Territory, after a young person fitted with one was sent to hospital on Saturday when the device “ignited” on his leg, the NT Independent can reveal.
The incident occurred around 7pm on Saturday evening in Alice Springs, Territory Families confirmed.
