EXCLUSIVE: A senior NT Police detective who was the subject of an interstate investigation for allegedly perverting the course of justice in the Zach Rolfe murder investigation has been suspended over unrelated allegations he impersonated a female officer in an online dating app, where he allegedly exchanged sexually explicit photos with an unknown male who later attempted to meet the female officer in person.

The NT Independent can confirm that Detective Senior Sergeant Wayne Newell was confronted about the social media catfish matter by investigators, but the charges have been stalled, with the police not publicly reporting the matter.

  1. Choosing the most corrupt police force to investigate a corrupt police officer makes sense if you want to hide stuff!

  2. What a pack of self serving mongrels, any senior police involved in the Rofle stitch up should have been sacked at the time.

    • Let’s hope the election removes the lazy labor lot, the new government might have the previous government ministers arrested and charged for their egotistical corruption actions of the previous 8 years – ALL OF THEM…. which will be ALL OF THEM…. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
