  1. SHOOTING FROM THE HIP . . . means to speak or act impulsively without careful consideration or planning. What ‘more’ can or need be said. Actually, a great deal more IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL. Our Northern Australia can only survive. And needs to survive. Through quality engagement, leadership? Both civil and military. Both are barely treading water? Though the latter military needs are significantly opposite to the civil debacle.

  2. This is so amazingly ill conceived, it must have been borne out of some corporate executive think tank. But the tank water was rancid and everyone was hallucinating.

  3. Evening all,
Not sure how others feel but with Albosleazy and LiaR it’s bloody hard picking the biggest waste of oxygen!
Imagine going to work and :
    (1) being pepper sprayed
    (2) Keeping yourself and others safe knowing that when a time presents itself and you have to exercise your duties, LiaR and crew will leave you alone!
    (3) Just ask our police officers how supported they feel!
    (4) Look up what councillor for Groote Eylandt Mr Mamarika did with a spear and , hammer and read how he was depicted as a fine fellow in court then reference points (2) and (3) again!
Liar is a wobble head in my books!
Roll on election time roll on!
Here’s my comment to Liar and neighbour hood watch $250000 grant mention in the NT News-
My comment to LiaR, responding to this NT News article!

Neighbourhood watch, we have been actively involved with for many years at each of our places we called home-a more pure community spirited program cannot be found!
This is again where you fail Territorians LiaR and attempt to throw wool over our eyes!
Territorians need a police force with pride and numbers, backed up by a judicial system with balls and a government with the courage, respect, fiscal responsibility and future vision to drive change in the criminal mindset!
That’s the Territory moving forward- we don’t need a dancing baker with a pepper spray saturated brain!
Thanks for the cash by the way,
Funds derived from loans and not territory GDP!

  4. I imagine the Police hierarchy were gobsmacked at this ridiculous announcement. Sadly they just have to go along with the government’s lurching from one brain fart to the next. God knows what we’ll have to choose from come the next election.

    • Expand the capability of PORU.

They do a great job, actually want to work and are not influenced by corrupt police management.

  5. In a democracy, somebody in government or in the community, ventures a hypothesis and this is then explored and, if found wanting, scrapped. If supported, it is tentatively tested and, if successful, incorporated.

A sensible procedure, one might have thought.

As has become the rule, a person who is utterly divorced from reality has ventured a ludicrous idea without ever consulting the implementers or those affected. Obviously, somebody is emulating Trump.
