Four youths aged between eight and 12 allegedly robbed an 80-year-old woman on Wednesday night after breaking into her Karama home, assaulting her and demanding her car keys, NT Police said.
They are currently at large.
Police said in a statement the home invasion occurred around 9pm Wednesday night at a home on Mahogany Crescent in Karama.
Police allege the four youths stole personal items from the woman’s house before “assaulting her and demanding the keys to her vehicle”.
It’s believed they fled on foot, with the victim’s purse later found in a nearby park.
The windows of the woman’s home were later found to have fly screens cut and louvres removed.
The extent of the woman’s injuries from the home invasion was not disclosed.
Police later clarified they have identified “persons of interest” and are hoping for arrests soon, but are seeking the public’s help to help identify the suspects.
