An 11-year-old boy was killed on a mango farm at Darwin River district yesterday when the quad bike he was riding on with a man crashed, NT Police said.
Police director of communications Mark Wilton said that about 12:50pm Sunday police were told the quad bike crashed into a tree while travelling through a mango farm in the Darwin River district.
He said St John Ambulance paramedics performed CPR but the 11-year-old boy died at the scene while the man was treated for a leg injury at Royal Darwin Hospital.
Police did not say who was in control of the motorbike.
