NT Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who allegedly exposed himself to a woman on Saturday around 5:30pm before grabbing her and later running off after a struggle.

Police said the woman was walking on the Alice Springs Desert Park Trail between Blain Street and Albrecht Drive when the man confronted her.

The woman was able to escape the man and call for help with the man fleeing the scene, police said.

Detectives are investigating the incident and seeking to speak to anyone with information about the incident or who was in the are on Saturday between 5pm and 6pm.

“The alleged offender is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, slim build and in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing a black cap, black hoodie and black basketball shorts,” police media said in a statement.

“Anyone with information or who was in the area between 5 and 6pm is urged to contact the Police on 131 444. Please quote reference number 10344552. ”
