A Parap woman woke to find a naked male “indecently assaulting” her at her home on Tuesday night, NT Police said, with the perpetrator still on the run.

Police said they received a call about the assault around 11:40pm.

The woman was reportedly able to push the man off her before he fled the area. Police said he allegedly stole a camera before leaving the residence.

“Police attended and the victim described the offender as being approximately 20 years of age, slim build, with dark skin and approximately 180cm to 185cm tall,” police said in a statement.

No further details were provided.

Sex Crimes detectives are currently investigating the incident and are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact 131 444 and quote reference number P25156934.
