NT Police are calling for the public’s help to identify a male who allegedly entered a home on Van Senden Avenue in Alice Springs Monday morning, just before 9am, where he allegedly sexually assaulted an adult female.

Police said they were called to the scene after the man fled and later established a crime scene.

He is still at large.

Police did not provide a description of the offender, saying only that he as an “unknown male”.

“Detectives from the Alice Springs Criminal Investigation Branch are requesting residents to review their CCTV footage for person in the area at the time,” NT Government crime marketing manager Sita Bacher said in a statement.

“Detectives are also seeking dashcam from the vicinity of Larapinta Drive near the intersection with Van Senden Drive between the hours of 8am to 9am.

“Anyone with information is urged to make contact with police on 131 444. Please quote reference NTP2300003121.”
