Whoever was involved in making a custom Medical system and not buying one of the many off the shelf systems used by the other 300 hospitals in Australia, warrants a investigation!!!
No surprises there, losers become winners with the help of a totally incompetent tender system which (I have dealt with for more than 40 years from a supplier perspective) has awarded contracts to compamies that lie about their credentials and are never held to account when their offerings are proved to be innacurate or outright bullshit. Put a clause in the tender that ‘should their claims prove to be dishonest’ then payment should be refunded. I am not a lawyer but the tender process within the Government has been a joke as those who assess the tenders have no idea. Please protect us from incompetent Public Servants and ‘Consultants’ oh yeah and Politicians.
