The Opposition CLP has accused the Lawler Labor Government of failing to address the dismal state of child health services in the Territory, where new figures show some children could be waiting up to two years for a consultation with a health specialist.

In Darwin, children above five-years-old referred to occupational therapists have an estimated wait time of 18 months, while those in Alice Springs may have to wait for as long as two years; while estimated wait times to see a speech pathologist could be as long as 13 months in Darwin and 20 months in Alice Springs.
