US Marines have arrived in Darwin this week, marking the beginning of a six-month deployment for training and operations as an air-ground taskforce.

Exercise Valiant Mark involves the deployment of a 2,500-strong Marine Rotational Force to Darwin, the 14th contingent to rotate to the NT since the program commenced in 2012.
