UPDATED: Three US Marines have died after their Osprey aircraft crashed on the Tiwi Islands Sunday morning, authorities have confirmed, while others are being treated at Royal Darwin Hospital which has declared an emergency “Code Brown”.

It has now been confirmed the aircraft was carrying 23 marines, but it was not clear how many Marines are still missing as recovery efforts are ongoing as of late Sunday afternoon.
