NT Police say they have charged two men in Darwin and Palmerston who they said were caught with an undisclosed traffickable amount of cocaine and MDMA over the last week.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Matt Akers said in a statement that on July 22 Drug and Organised Crime section officers searched a vehicle in Pinelands, finding cocaine, cash, and a mobile phone, but did not say what led to it being searched.

He said they then searched a Palmerston house and found a traffickable amount of cocaine and MDMA, as well as more cash.

Snr Sgt Akers did not say what amount of drugs or cash were allegedly found, or why it was wrong for the person to have a mobile phone, but said a 21-year-old man was charged with supplying a commercial quantity of a schedule 1 dangerous drug (he did not state what type of drug), possessing a traffickable quantity of cocaine, and possessing a traffickable quantity of MDMA, possessing tainted property, and possessing a less than traffickable quantity of a schedule 1 dangerous drug in a public place (again he did not state what type of drug).

He said the man was bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court on Thursday.

Snr Sgt Akers said a 47-year-old man was also arrested in his The Gardens home on Monday, and charged with possessing a commercial quantity of cocaine but did not say how much of the drug the man allegedly had.

He did not identify if there was any link between the two men.

Snr Sgt Akers said the man had been bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court on August 4.
