Two women at a Palmerston cafe on Tuesday evening were allegedly robbed by three youths who approached them and stole a handbag, later attempting to use the keys in the bag to steal one of the victims’ car, NT Police said.

The youths, who were both out on bail at the time, were reportedly unable to start the car around 6:20pm on Palmerston Circuit and fled the scene before police arrived, a police statement said.
