A two-year-old and a 12-year-old were flown to Royal Darwin Hospital after being struck in a hit-and-run in a remote community on Wednesday morning, NT Police said.

NT government crime marketing manager Sita Bacher said in a statement the two-year-old girl suffered a cut head, and the 12-year-old – whose gender was not given – suffered a pelvic injury and other non-life-threatening internal injuries after being hit by the vehicle in the remote community of Minyerri around midnight.
