AQBA to boost Australia, Qatar bilateral relationship

The Australia Qatar Business Association (AQBA) was launched to strengthen economic ties between Qatar and Australia following a visit from Qatar’s Prime Minister last August, The Peninsula has reported.  H E Ambassador Shane Flanagan emphasized the significance of this collaboration in enhancing engagement between the two nations.

AQBA’s Founding Chair, Justin Kerr-Stevens, highlighted the goal of supporting and expanding lucrative business opportunities. Qatar is Australia’s third-largest trading partner in the MENA region, with critical exports including engineering, fertilizers, and aviation services, primarily through Qatar Airways. With over 3,000 Australians living in Qatar, AQBA aims to foster business connections and partnerships. Yousuf Mohamed Al Jaida, CEO of the Qatar Financial Centre, expressed enthusiasm for AQBA’s role in supporting Australian businesses and promoting bilateral trade.

Only Fans creator Bonnie Blue banned from Australia

X-rated content creator Bonnie Blue-who has boasted of marathon sex sessions with dozens of men-has been banned from travelling to Australia to sleep with a legion of 18-year-olds, National World.com reported. Australian authorities have cancelled her 12-month visitor visa after concerns were raised that sleeping with “barely legal” boys and men would constitute paid work, which is not allowed under the conditions of her temporary residence. “The Australian visa system has rules. If you don’t intend to obey those rules, don’t apply,” Home Affairs and Immigration Minister Tony Burke said.

Blue has never shared her real name, but it’s known that she is originally from Nottingham. It’s said that she was previously married and in a decade-long relationship, and despite that finishing, her former partner still works with her behind the scenes. However, over 20,000 people signed a Change.org petition calling for her visa revoked on character grounds.

Jamie Oliver pulls back book that upset First Nation Australians

Sky News reported that Jamie Oliver has retracted his children’s book, “Billy and the Epic Escape,” following criticism for perpetuating stereotypes about First Nation Australians. The story features a First Nations girl in foster care who the antagonist kidnaps. However, the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Corporation (Natsiec) blasted the book for contributing to the “erasure, trivialization, and stereotyping of First Nations peoples and experiences”.

“I am devastated to have caused offence and apologize wholeheartedly. It was never my intention to misinterpret this deeply painful issue. Together with my publishers, we have decided to withdraw the book from sale,” Mr Oliver said.
