More than 2,000 Australian and Philippine defence personnel will participate in amphibious landing and air assault drills, with two Australian navy vessels, HMAS Canberra and HMAS ANZAC, having arrived to conduct the bilateral exercises with the Philippines Navy. First Australian hydrogen refueller service station starts operation in Brisbane

Gas and engineering company BOC announced that it has officially opened Australia’s first hydrogen refuelling station at a service station at the bp Port of Brisbane Truckstop in Lytton. BOC is producing renewable hydrogen at its Bulwer Island production site with a 220 kW electrolyser powered by solar energy generated onsite. The Queensland government’s QFleet will use the facility to refill its current fleet of five-hydrogen-powered Hyundai Nexos in approximately 3-5 minutes. Any member of the public with a hydrogen car can also register with bp to refill their passenger vehicle with a bp plus card, fully loaded.com has reported.

Qantas Airways nears new Boeing 787 widebody order

Industry sources said Boeing is close to securing an order for more of its 787 Dreamliner aircraft from Australia’s Qantas Airways. The order for an unspecified number of 787-10s deepens the presence of the high-tech Dreamliner family at Australia’s flag carrier and could be announced as early as this month. The deal would be Qantas’s first order of the 787-10 model, a stretched version of the 787-9 with a shorter range that is designed to compete against the Airbus A330, Reuters has reported.

Disney Wonder cruises range from two to seven days, for which time guests will be fully immersed within a magical Disney world. Guests will get to hang out with characters, experience “imaginative” world-class dining, and be treated to a variety of performances– all while sailing the seas and visiting ports including Noumea, Hobart and Eden.
