A search of the South Alligator River after an unmanned tinny was discovered near the boat ramp yesterday has ended with the recovery of a 64-year-old’s body, NT Police said.
The police’s search and rescue unit performed a “thorough sweep” of the Kakadu Park river with specialised equipment late Wednesday after the owner of the tinny could not be accounted for. Police said on Thursday the search continued throughout the night.
