UPDATED: NT Police are investigating the death of a toddler following a reported “medical incident” at Humpty Doo Community and Child Care Centre on Thursday that led to the young girl dying two days later in hospital.

While details have not been made public, sources with knowledge of the incident told the NT Independent the two-year-old girl choked on food on Thursday, but she was not immediately noticed by staff at the childcare centre.
