Three males broke into a house in Alice Springs with unspecified weapons around midnight, and stole a car after confronting the owner, NT Police said.

Police director of communications Mark Wilton said in a statement police allege that about 12:20am Monday a group of three males, armed with unspecified blunt weapons, broke into a home on McKinley Street, Braitling, confronting the resident, and stealing a set of keys before driving off in the resident’s blue Holden Cruze.

He said the car had not been found.

There was no description of the males given, and police did not say if they believed they were the same three males who allegedly broke into a house in Sadadeen two hours earlier.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them on 131 444 (quote reference code NTP2400070991), or make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers by calling 1800 333 000 or through the website.
