Three people have been killed in a road crash at Hayes Creek, NT Police said.
Detective Senior Sergeant Richard Musgrave said in a statement police received reports of a two-vehicle collision 60km north of Pine Creek on the Stuart Highway, about 12:30pm Friday.
Having travelled that road many times since the start of 2023 I have seen a huge increase in traffic and dangerous driving. I did frequent trips to Katherine in the days of no speed limit. The road was not a mass of damage and potholes. There was much less traffic and everyone drove within their capabilities.
