I listened to Joel Bowden sprout about his ‘experience’ in small business on 360. This was in Melbourne and I wonder how many times his coffee shop was broken into during his ownership. His windows smashed, his staff threatened, his actual viability threatened due to crime. He has been on the front-bench for what? 4 months? But apparently he could kick a football but not like Warren McCoy and never would have caught him either. So he is an expert on ‘NT small business? No just disingeious as he suggested of Marie-Claire Boothby. He has never run a business in Darwin. Eva has shown that she is a nasty and vicious person with no emotional control and has a lack of clarity about questions being asked of her, even whilst in the public eye. Fancy Chancey has the same level of understanding of government as a homosexual goat (can I say homosexual?) and Nicole Manison has proven her inability to achieve anything of worth over a long period of time. Laws need to be introduced to restrict persons unsuitable to govern the Territory due to a lack of education, life experience and credibilty. Marketing should not be the deciding factor in who rules us and ICAC should have investigated these muppets long ago as should the major news outlets here (ABC, NT News) but it is left to a small independent media organisation to expose the lies and deceit, yet they have been banned by this totally corrupt and incompetent ‘Government’ from attending their press conferences. So much for free press. Why do our ‘opposition’ feel that they are winning points by telling us about the incompetence of Labor, we are not stupid so we already know. Lead by example and stop slinging mud. Give us some bright ideas, Labor have dragged you down to their level and it is time to show the strength of Leadership that we saw last century which took the NT to a level which has not been replicated since Claire Martin took power. It has been a continuing downhill slide since her appointment, by both major parties. None of our current government have any serious credentials which should be made available prior to any election so that we can vote on credibilty not BS. Grow up and be Leaders we are fed up with NT (and Australian) politicians you are an embarrassment and as taxpayers (your employers) we deserve better. Look at how far backwards we have gone since 2000. We were a pride of Australia and a great place to live.
The NT has a population of approximately 100,000 functioning adults, or thereabouts. Assuming a standard bell curve, this would mean there are 1,000 individuals (i.e. 1%) with the necessary intelligence, wherewithal, nous etc capable of being a high-performing Member of Parliament. Clearly, not everyone want to do so, but I’m sure there would still be a significant number who could participate at a high level. For some reason, these people are not forthcoming and we have to ask ourselves why. Instead, we are left with this pack of incompetent, self-interested, unqualified, numb-skulls living high on the fat of the gravy-train pretending to the Electorate (and possibly themselves) that they have the necessary to run the Territory. Whatever Bozo takes the mantle of Chief Minister, it won’t make one whit of difference, and that is the truly sad part. Complete with their entourage of fellow clowns, they will continue to perform in centre ring, while the tent and the stands with the spectators burn down around them.
Out of a sea of incompetence, the supreme incompetent one, Lawler, was proclaimed Chief Incompetent.
