A 17-year-old female was knocked unconscious at a party on Saturday night after a rock was thrown at her, the NT Police said, calling on witnesses to come forward.

Police said just after midnight, they had received a report about a large party on Ewing Court in Bakewell causing a disturbance.

“Upon arrival, police found paramedics treating a 17-year-old female who had been knocked unconscious by an unknown person who had thrown a rock at her,” police said in a statement.

Anyone who may have witnessed the attack is being asked to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 00, quoting reference number 10133169.

Police did not provide an update on the girl’s condition or if she is in hospital.
