Four “unknown youths” allegedly robbed a taxi driver in Malak on Monday night by threatening him with “blunt weapons”, the NT Police said.

The incident occurred around 9pm on Rickard Court.

“The youths allegedly threatened the driver with blunt weapons before stealing a number of small items,” said Detective Sneior Sergeant Brett Cottier.

“A nearby resident intervened and the offenders fled the scene on foot.”

Police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the robbery to contact them on 131 444, quoting reference number 10089731.

“Investigations are ongoing,” Sgt Cottier said.
