An unidentified offender is on the run after stealing a 4WD and colliding it with a stationary car occupied by a woman and a one-year-old girl, NT Police said.
NT government crime marketing manager Sita Bacher said in a statement detectives were investigating after an orange Ford Ranger was stolen from a Gillen house “early” Monday morning.
She said that about 11am the 4WD collided with a stationary Holden Commodore in Ilparpa, with the two occupants taken to Alice Springs Hospital; a 30-year-old female driver suffering minor injuries, and a 1-year-old girl taken for assessment.
The driver of the 4WD drove off and the vehicle was later recovered abandoned by police south of The Gap, Ms Bacher said.
Police said they are looking for anyone with information to call them on 131 444.

I hope Territory Labor have stocked up on body bags for the festerfest about to hit town. Watch out folks.
