This year’s Cracker Night celebrations have left several people injured, including a baby with facial burns, a burned-out community shed, a robbed KFC on Bagot Road, as well as reports of several youth intentionally firing fireworks at people, which the NT Police chalked up to “a good Territory Day” overall.
St John Ambulance responded to four major firework injuries, including a six-month-old who was burned in the face by a firework and a 37-year-old man who was treated for burns to his groin area when a firework appeared to have “gone off in his lap”.
