The Tiwi Land Council’s fraud controls, risk management and conflict of interest policies are inconsistently implemented and incomplete, a scathing report by the Australian National Audit Office has found, while also raising questions about the validity of a 2021 financial delegation arrangement.
The audit found that despite being established in 1978, the council’s adherence to the Aboriginal Land Rights Act and the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act was only partly effective.
Another reason to Vote No for The Voice as Aboriginals are not victims &often act & behave as corruptly as any egregious white man. Humans should not be segregated by the colour of their skin, have Australians learned nothing from the historical South African apartheid system?
If there was a Drug Testing policy for council members, they would have to import them from Darwin!

Not surprising at all. Sounds like the same sort of behaviour that saw ATSIC disbanded.
Anybody who has met the member of any organization on the Tiwi Islands wouldn’t be surprised by this in the slightest!
