A replacement that won’t tolerate a corrupt government would be good. If knowledge that he was hiding something was used to get the weak reports that he has produced, he is not the only one that should be sacked.
And WHY would the Gunner/Fyles/Lawler Government want that?
They struck Gold with this bloke.
How many people have shown up in court due to the fabulously professional investigations
conducted by this fabulous individual?
NONE!
In the most corrupt part of Australia, NO corrupt people can be found!!!!!
What is up with the NT, McRoberts, Chalker, and Riches to name just few. Can’t we just have someone who is competent and not a complete flog, the NT deserves better.
The ICAC should be independent of the NT. It should be dealt with interstate possibly a small office here but ultimately a completely Independent Commission. This place is too incestuous and Labour set the ICAC up here to be powerless. It was never meant to be able to achieve any investigation into government. Oddly it was pretty quick to be able to have drives recovered from 2 decades ago when investing racism within NT Police. Michael Riches is being unfairly blamed for lack of success I think. As to his personal matters, well that’s unfortunately been played out publicly no doubt intentionally.
