The Fyles Government has patted itself on the back for justice reforms it said “provide smarter justice for a safer Territory”, which the CLP Opposition said shows how “out of touch” Labor is with Territorians, while Justice Minister Chansey Paech issued a statement on Monday to announce $39 million in the 2023 Budget for various new “reforms”.
The self-congratulatory statement comes amid the ongoing crime crisis that has seen six people publicly stabbed in Darwin since March, including two deaths, and nightly violent crimes across the entire Northern Territory, including a violent home invasion last week that resulted in an international student bludgeoned to death in his bed.

Attorney General keeping the family out of prison to get more votes?
They are on to it
Make nothing a crime
Get rid of jails and let the world sort itself out
Everyone will be able to take control of their lives and those that can’t will need to toughen up to survive
Vote LABOUR it is coming
This unqualified sad little unshaven seldom seen vote buying chicken giving food vouchers for votes is a perfect mistake. Ride on gunner’s plane funded by us to establish his vague skins and to secure votes is disgusting. Such is NT labor and the gunner legacy.
