NT Police are asking for the public’s assistance regarding a possible abduction in Alice Springs Friday morning, in which two men were seen allegedly placing a woman into a vehicle before driving off.

Police said the incident occurred around 8:40am Friday morning on South Terrace, in the vicinity of the Tom Brown roundabout.

“It was reported that two males had physically placed a female into a white vehicle, before driving off from the location,” police media director Mark Wilton said in a statement.

“It is believed that the vehicle had South Australian registration plates.

“It has not yet been established what relationship exists between the persons involved. Investigations are continuing to ascertain the full circumstances of the incident.”

Police did not provide any descriptions of the men or the woman.

Police are calling for anyone with information about the incident, especially dashcam footage, to contact them on 131 444, quoting reference number P26188655 or through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
