I actually dont believe Maley would lie as such. For two reasons which dont need explaining. Moke like it, he can only go on what he is being told and if that is the case we have a pattern of the public service undermiming the goverment who are showing and being weak and indecisive on issues that should not be. The honeymoon is over, things are not looking as promised and Lingiari and Solomon look like they now have no chance.
Anyone that’s ever worked in government, Police etc, knows the truth never goes upwards. Only good news and fairy stories are permitted to be relayed to the level up. Mr Maley no doubt has been told the Snow White version. It’s a shame these ministers and commissioners haven’t cottoned on to the fact they are rarely told the facts. But then they’d shun whoever dared tell them like it is. Ego’s and self preservation, the harbinger of disaster.
