NT Police are searching for the occupants of a “small white hatchback” after the passenger allegedly threatened a man walking in the Gardens with a “large edged weapon” and stole his belongings overnight.

Police said the victim was walking on a footpath between Gilruth Avenue and Atkins Drive towards Fannie Bay when the car approached him about 4am before a knife was produced.

“The passenger of the vehicle got out and approached the victim allegedly demanding his personal belongings before threatening him with a large edged weapon,” police said in a statement.

“The victim handed over his belongings before the offenders fled the scene.”

Serious Crime detectives are investigating the incident.
