The NT Police are seeking a new communications director, but only for three months according to a new ad, which unusually describes the position as the “key point of contact” between the agency and the government and follows allegations of political interference in the police media unit.
Applications for the role – which sources said had diminished from a higher level position – comes with a $180,000 salary package and closed on Wednesday, but the advertisement for an unexplained reason, stated it was approved on November 1, 2022.
