Two men allegedly armed with an axe and a knife broke into a Nightcliff house on and threatened occupants before stealing a car, and have still not been caught, NT Police said.

NT Police media manager Margaret McKeown said in a statement police were seeking public information about the alleged aggravated robbery that happened about 5am in Casuarina Drive, Nightcliff on Easter Sunday.

She said the serious crime squad allege two men armed with an axe and a knife broke into the house before threatening occupants, “pocketing several small items”, and stealing a white Toyota Rav 4.

Police have found the car but no one has been arrested Ms McKeown said.
