A 46-year-old woman in Ludmilla was sexually assaulted on Wednesday night with the suspect still at large, NT Police said.

Police were notified of the sexual assault shortly after 9pm and both police and St John Ambulance attended to the area around Narrows Road and Bagot Road where the incident occurred, with the woman taken to hospital.

Police said “a search of the area was conducted with several items of interest being located” however the suspect was not found.

“The Dog Operations Unit, detectives and general duties members attended the area however, the suspect was not located,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Matt Akers.

“We are seeking to obtain any information from members of the public who were out and about in the vicinity of Narrows Road and Bagot Road between 8:30pm to 8:45pm.

“The person of interest is described as being male with a dark complexion, short dark hair and wearing a tan coloured cargo pants, black singlet and black shoes.
