UPDATED: NT Police have arrested an 18-year-old man as part of their investigation into the death of another man, who they believed was assaulted outside the Rapid Creek Business Village shopping centre early Wednesday morning, police have said.

Northern Watch Commander Adam Swift told the NT News police and St John Ambulance arrived at the Rapid Creek Business Village on Trower Rd in Millner after 9.30pm Tuesday night, and found the man alone at the scene.

“Police arrived with St John to find a man approximately 40-years of age who looked to have been involved in a fight of some description,” Comdr Swift is quoted as saying.

“He was unconscious and went into resuscitation but has then passed away. Major Crime investigators have been there overnight and at the moment they’re led to believe the death was post-assault.”
